TEACHER BIO

A little about me….

I was born in Waxahachie, Tx, and have lived in Oklahoma, Missouri and Texas.  My degree is a Bachelor’s in Education with specializations in dyslexia, gifted talented and ESL and a minor in music from Texas Woman’s University.

I have been teaching over 30 years in grades 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 along with Adult Basic Education for gifted students.  In June 2014 I retired, but continued teaching full time as I was not ready to give up my passion and calling.

My husband (best friend and supporter) and I have been married for 47 years.  We have 2 children, both adopted with very different needs.  Our son, now 40, is Vietnamese and our daughter, now 30, is Korean.  Due to these 2 exceptional children, I have won many awards for using their thoughts and experiences in classroom organization, individualized instruction and a true love for every child.

I believe that every child is a genius and a marvel and can be anything he/she wants to be.
