Welcome to a new and exciting school year! I am your child's classroom teacher for all curriculum areas to include Reading / Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. I am looking forward to a SUPER and PRODUCTIVE school year.

Mondays and Thursdays: 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30 am - 10:00 am

Born in El Paso and lived in Phoenix before moving to Houston. My husband is John and we are the proud parents of three amazing children John Michael, Stephen and Sarah.

Received my Bachelor of Science in Bilingual Elementary Education (Grades 1-8)  from the University of Texas at El Paso.  State of Texas  and New Mexico Teacher Certification (Grades K-8) and Gifted and Talented certified.

I have 35 years of experience as a classroom teacher, Reading Recovery (working with struggling readers), Literacy Coach and Reading Specialist (K-5.) I was also the At-Risk Coordinator for the Austin High School feeder pattern for five years.

Hobbies and interests:  Traveling and spending time with family.  I love sports, gardening, and watching movies. I have a passion with working with at-risk children through out my career. Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer, Juvenile Probation-(first offender program mentor)

Texas Alliance of Accredited Private Schools        We are an affiliate member of the STEM Education Coalition and our curriculum is centered around a STEM foundation, promoting Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.   

We embrace our cultural diversity at Abercrombie, and are a proud "No Place For Hate" school through the Antii-Defamation League.     Particiation in interscholastic competition enables students to broaden their horizons. We rejoined the PSIA in 2014, and look forward to future participlation.     More than 75% of our 4th Graders have qualified for the Duke University Talent Identification Program (TIP).  Houston Area Independent Schools Library Network
