Abercrombie Academy will be joining The Workout Barre for free ladies Barre classes this
Saturday, April 1st at the Gleannloch Sports Center (19828 Gleannbury Pointe Dr., Spring).

Thanksgiving Food Drive


In an effort to emphasize the importance of gratitude in our daily lives, we are encouraging each child to contribute to our school-wide food drive. This discussion of "giving back" will continue in our classrooms throughout the month of November.

We will be delivering all donations to Northwest Assitance Ministries at the end of our food drive. NAM has served north and northwest Harris County since 1983. The impact this organization has made on our community is truly remarkable. 

STEAM Express Campus Visit - Sept 23

Our students will get a special visit from the STEAM Express - a 48-foot trailer custom built into a mobile classroom to showcase interactive exhibits and technology to students. Curriculum activities will focus on STEAM Careers that bring cross curricular concepts together at various grade levels. STEAM Express will spark interest in STEAM careers through Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts with Math explorations.

Abercrombie Academy will be closed tomorrow, Friday, April 22nd.

Thankfully, our school structures and premises have not been affected by the current flood conditions. The decision to close for an additional day will hopefully help ensure the continued safety of our students and staff.

We will resume school on Monday, April 25th unless otherwise stated.

PSIA District 12AA Competition

We wish our 11 students all the best as they represent our school at the 2015-2016 PSIA (Private Schools Interscholastic Association) on April 2nd. They have worked incredibly hard the last few months to prepare for this highly esteemed and academically rigorous competition. We commend them for their dedication for juggling their PSIA tutoring with schoolwork.

Middle School Preparedness Presentation - Date Change

We have invited the Lead Counselor from Doerre Intermediate in Klein ISD to come talk with us about middle school preparedness. Ms. Jennifer Lange will discuss what students can expect in middle school and what parents can do to ensure their children are well prepared. She will discuss Regular classes and Pre-Advanced Placement classes as well as electives.

Question and answer session will also be included.
