Message from Head of School

It is a pleasure to welcome you to Abercrombie Academy.   I have been involved in the school since its inception in 1969, when I attended as a rambunctious Kindergarten student.  At the time, we did not offer classes beyond Kindergarten, so I completed 1st through 12th grade in the Cypress Fairbanks ISD.  During those years, I remained involved with Abercrombie Academy as part of the yard crew, custodial crew and after school staff.  While attending Texas State University, where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Communication Technology, I was the Abercrombie Academy summer life guard and swimming instructor back when we had a pool here on campus.

After graduating from college and starting a new family, I worked in the corporate world, which included a position with Compaq Computer Corporation.   In 1995 I took the position of Director at our Woerner Road Campus.  During the next few years, I had the privilege of having my son and daughter attend our school.   I am proud to say they are now successful, well rounded college students and I contribute a lot of their attainment to the positive formative years here at Abercrombie Academy.

As a second generation owner, I take upmost pride in our highly qualified and dedicated staff, our ever-evolving curriculum, our fantastic students and their devoted families.  It is my heartfelt responsibility to provide a quality educational environment where children can feel safe and I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to see our students learn and thrive.  It is thrilling to now see the second generation Abercrombie students attending in the classrooms their parent attended and hear of all of the outstanding accolades our alumni have achieved.

I would love the opportunity to give you a personal tour of the school and answer your questions.  Please do not hesitate to stop by my office, call or email me.

With Gratitude,

Mr. Abercrombie
