Workout Barre

Abercrombie Academy will be joining The Workout Barre for free ladies Barre classes this
Saturday, April 1st at the Gleannloch Sports Center (19828 Gleannbury Pointe Dr., Spring).
We will be presenting an exciting story time at 10:00 a.m.
for any children attending this event with their parents.

Thanksgiving Food Drive


In an effort to emphasize the importance of gratitude in our daily lives, we are encouraging each child to contribute to our school-wide food drive. This discussion of "giving back" will continue in our classrooms throughout the month of November.

We will be delivering all donations to Northwest Assitance Ministries at the end of our food drive. NAM has served north and northwest Harris County since 1983. The impact this organization has made on our community is truly remarkable. 

STEAM Express Campus Visit - Sept 23

Our students will get a special visit from the STEAM Express - a 48-foot trailer custom built into a mobile classroom to showcase interactive exhibits and technology to students. Curriculum activities will focus on STEAM Careers that bring cross curricular concepts together at various grade levels. STEAM Express will spark interest in STEAM careers through Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts with Math explorations.

Big Kahuna Fundraiser ends Sept 23

Parents, help make this fundraiser a success by sharing the Big Kahuna product catalogue with family and friends.  The more orders you get, the more prizes your child will receive!  Fundraiser money goes right back to our school in the form of field trips, learning resources, activities, etc.  Please send in all orders by Friday, Sept. 23rd.

Keep clipping those Box Tops! Each Box Top is worth 10 cents to our school - just clip and send in these coupons in a ziploc bag clearly labeled with your child's name. The deadline for turning them is Friday, February 24th.

Middle School Preparedness Presentation - Date Change

Thursday, December 15th

9:00 - 10:00 a.m.

Elementary Building, Computer, Lab 

We have invited the Lead Counselor from Doerre Intermediate in Klein ISD to come talk with us about middle school preparedness. Ms. Jennifer Lange will discuss what students can expect in middle school and what parents can do to ensure their children are well prepared. She will discuss Regular classes and Pre-Advanced Placement classes as well as electives.

Question and answer session will also be included.

No Place For Hate - Anti Defamation League

After School Assistant and Abercrombie alum Miss Maddie dropped of over 650 pounds of food to the NAM Nutrition Center. Thank you Abercrombie families for your generosity!
